What should the application documents for an invention or utility model patent include?

Generally, the so-called application documents, in a narrow sense, specifically refer to five parts: the abstract of the specification, the abstract drawing, the claims, the specification, and the drawings of the specification, briefly called the "five documents".
Abstract of the Specification: It generally includes the name of the invention, the technical field, the core technical solution, and the beneficial effects. The abstract has no legal effect and is only for the convenience of public retrieval, and the number of characters shall not exceed 300.
Abstract Drawing: It is a drawing among the drawings of the specification that can best represent the core invention point of this application, and it cannot be a drawing expressing the prior art. With the change of the electronic application system, the abstract drawing no longer exists as a separate application document, but is determined by designating a certain drawing among the drawings of the specification in the request form. If there are no drawings of the specification, there is no need to designate an abstract drawing.
Claims: It records the technical solution for which this application claims protection and defines the scope of protection claimed by this patent application.
Specification: The specification consists of six parts: the name of the invention, the technical field, the background art, the content of the invention, the description of the drawings (if there are drawings), and the specific implementation mode.
Drawings of the Specification: They exist to facilitate the understanding of the claims and the specification and are actually a part of the specification. After the examination guidelines are revised, applicants are allowed to submit color drawings.
